Lacoste is a magnificent village across the valley from Bonnieux. Its castle belonged to the Marquis de Sade (18th cent.), and is now the property of the famous designer Pierre Cardin who organise every summers the "Festival de Lacoste" under the artistic direction of Eve Ruggieri). An American art school is also established in the village (Savannah college of Art and Design – www.scad.edu/lacoste) adding an important cultural element to the village and the surrounding area.
